Great tips though I think starting at the top might look a little suspicious to the googlebot? Also as there are so many people hitting those sites, even though they are high PR, would they hold as much authority as one with less outbound links? Personally I work with semi-automated submissions mainly in the PR1 to PR3 area and am getting good steady results and page positioning. I do use Google and Facebook for creating links to, seems to work!
